The third edition of the Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen will take place from 16 - 20 March, 2011. Go Short is an annual new, refreshing film festival for European short films. The first edition took place in 2008. It is a unique event in The Netherlands at which the audience is treated to short films, most of them made by young, talented filmmakers from all over Europe. The festival's main location is the local multifunctional arthouse LUX.
Go Short shows a wide variation of short films; the festival’s main program contains seven competitions. Besides the European competition for short fiction films, short documentaries, short animation and short experimental, there’s a competition for Dutch shorts, an European competition for student films. This competition; Breaking Shorts is selected by the travelling student film festival Breaking Ground. Besides all competitions judged by professional jury's, the audience decides which short wins the Audience Award. Besides competitions, Go Short presents different focus programs and other out of competition programs. For more info, go to www.goshort.nl.

The European Youth Film Festival is an annual several-day screening event of European audiovisual creations in Antwerp and Bruges. In addition to film screenings, the festival draws special attention to an audiovisual framework. Throughout the year we organize additional activities to support our principal activity. The festival’s main target audience consists of young film enthusiasts but our general principle is not to exclude anyone. The festival has a comprehensive audience reach and an international dimension. www.jeugdfilmfestival.be |
