Editor/Designer - Chris Patmore |

Chris was born in London and raised in Australia, where he spent much of his youth surfing along the coastline of the island continent. He finally decided that he needed to do more with his life and went to art school to study photography, painting and, later, graphic design. However, his gypsy blood wouldn't let him settle down and he headed off to India, his spiritual home, before ending up back in London.
After spending five years in Milan working on magazines (including the launch of the popular FilmTV) and more than a decade of working in advertising and design studios around Soho and Covent Garden, the opportunity to write a book presented itself, so he gave up the security of a salary to become an author. He now has five internationally published books on animation, filmmaking and comic book art to his credit, if nothing else. Chris's love of genre film lead to becoming online editor for SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival's website, which he still does. He joined Film & Festivals magazine after the first issue, initially as a writer, before taking over design duties as well. He is also designer and a contributing writer for movieScope magazine. He is still trying to find a way to spend some time behind his still and movie cameras, and satisfy his wanderlust. e-mail:

Sub-editor - Naila Scargill |
Naila has an eclectic media background. This was not her original intention, having studied mathematics at university. Calculus was bidden farewell after a spot of modeling somehow led her into the world of independent publishing, specialising in film. Since, she has taken in film distribution and production, live music television, record label management and currently works in news analysis. Keen to keep her connection to film alive, she also works closely with the director of SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival. |
